Been meaning to write a bigger write-up on Kassian and his extension but between all the BoA stuff and games in between haven't had a good chance.

Short answer now is I like Kassian, he has actually been fairly positive on McDavid in terms of CF% and xGF and don't hate the idea of him as the complimentary player in the top 6 ala Ferland. The extra year of the contract is pretty meh but a player making just over 3 million that can slot throughout the top 9 is a fine deal. Not amazing, but nothing that is going to hurt this team moving forward.
